About the event
This 3-hour program is designed for the family members, friends and caregivers of people living with dementia.
Participants can count on gaining knowledge and skill that will increase confidence when caring for someone living with dementia. These techniques have been ‘tried and proven’ to improve the quality of life of the person living with brain changes.
Certificates of attendance will be provided to persons who complete the training.
Trini born, Arlene Correia brings with her awesome personality, 😊 12 years of experience with a non-profit Hospice, first as a caregiver and then as a clinical instructor, specializing in education about End of Life and also Dementia.
She travels rurally in the United States to work with nursing assistants throughout Minnesota and North Dakota.
Her Dementia workshops are based on the principles of Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care.
Her teaching style is casual and engaging, and it would be reasonable to expect to have some fun while practicing these newly acquired and valuable skills.
